By Pedro Du Bois (Balneário Camboriú, SC)
(Marina Du Bois, English version)
Men line up at the bank’s door
women seek th water needed
for the daily works and the children
loose on the ground trace in air
playgames in the imagination
of the moment when they talk
abou dreams: plenty of water
in the immensity of the house lost
to the drought of dry
smiles in dried out souls
men believe
in promisses of big money
women thirsty in the daily walk
on seeking water and the children
oblivious to reality disguise
the hunger the thirsty and the longing
for what they will never have.
