By Konstantinos
Spiliotis (Nafplio, Greece)
Wrapped in starlight
Cradled by nymphs in the trees
Whose branches become veins
That stretch across the sky
Like unending prayers to the unknown.
Then you appeared in my dream,
Tangible proof
Of a welcoming embrace
That Fate insists will last
Till the moment it is withdrawn.
And prayers are forever etched
In their totality on the sky
Like a sacred oath
Spelt out by the lips of love
Your own lips.
Now my dream’s embrace
Fills with syllables
That take the shape of my body
And embody the words
“I love you”.
